This class is structured over an 8–10-month period, while the student is establishing their practice.

It is expected the student jumps right in and has volunteers to practice on.

Classes are on Zoom except for the in-person dates where you can work on your own clients.  These are held in groups of 8-10 students per day to allow individual attention to the accuracy of your work.

Joan expects students to bring questions and case studies to the monthly zoom meetings.

Students are encouraged to work with other students when classes are not in session.

Joan makes herself available during this program via phone or email if time permits in her schedule.

The Zoom dates class structure will be a 45-60 minute lecture followed by a 10 minute break, then followed by a second lecture or demonstration and/or question and answer period. The class will be broken down into segments.

The in-person dates, we will have small in-person breakout groups, to work on your clients or with advanced request my own clients.

If I feel the class needs additional monthly sessions, I will add additional dates with no additional cost to you.

Please note, if we need to adjust a date, we hope all will be receptive to a change.

Pre-Requisites:

1. General knowledge of Anatomy. A book I highly recommend is “Human Body: An Ilustrated Guide to Every Part of the Human Body and How it Works” You can order this from Amazon.

2. Muscle Testing: We use the feet to test as it is highly accurate and requires nothing from your client. If you are proficient in another form that would be acceptable and would easily translate to using the feet. If not, training will be offered by myself and/or Kate Rafferty, a Kinesiologist and former student offers classes in Boston. You can call or text her at 781-771-1366.

3. A set of magnets. Amazon is now offering these, made by Bio-magentic Therapists. I cannot attest to their durability, but they seem adequate. I purchase mine from Spain and some have seen over 200,000 sessions. They are expensive, but the longevity makes it worthwhile. You need to email Joan Prat at [email protected]

You can see his magnets and prices at his website.  You can no longer order directly from his website.  www.YinYangmagnets.es

I recommend the three smallest sized magnets to begin with.  We have put together a practitioner kit for my students.  The cost of shipping is expensive.  It would be best to order with other students.

Currently, there is a shortage with the supply of magnets and a back-order.  Please give yourself enough time and plan accordingly.

4. A Massage table, a designated office or room in your home to begin practicing this modality on volunteers. This is essential. If you do not jump right in, you will be left behind.
